한눈에 보는 전치사 at, on, in 차이

 

■ IN, ON, AT 을 시간에 사용할 경우 

IN : Centuries, Decades, Years, Months, Weeks 같은 다소 "긴 시간" 개념에 사용 

Ex) In the 1800', in the 80's, in 2021, in March, in December, in two weeks

 

ON : Days, Weekend 같은 좀더 "구체적인 날" 에 사용

Ex)  on July 4th, 1964, on my birthday, on Friday, on the weekend

 

AT :  Hours 같은 "매우 구체적 시간" 에 사용 

Ex)  at 7 am, at 12 o'clock, at noon, at 7:40 pm

 

■ IN, ON, AT 을 장소에 사용할 경우 

IN: Country, City, Neighborhood 같은 다소 "큰 장소" 개념에 사용 

Ex)  in England, in Korea, in Seoul, in London, in Chinatown

 

ON : Streets, Avenues 같은 "구체적인 장소/위치" 개념에 사용 

Ex)  on Oxford Street, on the corner

 

AT : Address 나 특정 장소같은 비교적 "정확한 장소" 에 사용  

Ex)  at the store, at school, at home, at 734 Oxford Street
